My dad chose Gary Smith from City Way School of Motoring to be my driving Instructor, as he had a colleague who knew he was a driving instructor and that he offered a Guarantee Pass Driving Course with no strings attached.
I initially found driving to be much harder than I thought, but I like a good challenge. I found Gary to be very helpful, very patient, gave very clear instructions and helped me master those tricky manoeuvres by giving me useful reference points to use.
He also suggested I write things down in a book and bring it to all my driving lessons. I found this very useful, to re-read in between my driving lessons. He even kept my Dad up to date with my progress and allowed him to come out on some of my driving lessons. This proved very useful when I started my private driving practice.
I have called Gary whilst he is teaching. His telephone calls are diverted to his office, where the staff are very helpful and friendly and have dealt with my enquiry with no fuss.
I will be recommending Gary and City Way School of Motoring to all my friends and others at Fort Pitt Grammar School (cards have already been placed in both sixth form Common Rooms).
Passing my test was a complete surprise to me, as I often thought I was not good enough. But Gary always told me that I was better than I thought I was. He had complete faith in my abilities, put me in for my Driving Test and I passed FIRST TIME with only 5 minor faults. FANTASTIC !!
Keep up the good work Gary, I would not change anything – You’re a Very Good Driving Instructor.
