Having had no previous experience, Initially, I decided to go with City Way School of Motoring because I wanted to learn to drive in an automatic car, and they provided a modern electric vehicle. After the first few lessons I chose to continue with them because I felt that Gary was a great instructor who matched with my learning style.

Learning to drive was much less stressful than I expected it to be, and I was mainly concerned about the manoeuvres and overcoming my hesitation, but Gary explained everything clearly and in an easy to understand way. Driving lessons were very effective, and there was a good progression of responsibility as the driving lessons went on.

I think reviewing the dashcam footage, was quite useful especially when we started to do more test style driving, to see where I was making mistakes and how my mistakes were affecting other road users, and understanding why it went wrong and how to fix it.

I would, recommends Gary at City Way School of Motoring, as he is a great instructor, and the cost for lessons is reasonable considering the vehicle and quality of teaching received.

I haven’t driven on my own yet, however having the opportunity is life changing in itself. Being able to be more independent as I move into the next stage of my life will be great, having recently finished my university journey.
