Oliver initially chose City Way School of Motoring for his driving lessons, as some family members had passed their driving test with us in the past.
Oliver’s determination to become a confident driver was unwavering despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns and self-isolating. Without any prior driving experience, Oliver started his driving lessons. Like many new drivers, he felt a little anxious about driving. However, with our help, he slowly built up his confidence.
Oliver already had his own car, which he used to practice and consolidate his knowledge. We worked with him on his planning skills, as he often drove into situations that could have been anticipated. We introduced a structured approach that allowed Oliver to improve by learning from his errors and understanding his driving responsibilities. We also helped him develop a ‘Can do’ attitude, further boosting his confidence.
Oliver began understanding how to react to developing situations and became a safe and confident driver. Towards the end of his driving lessons, we switched to using Oliver’s car since my manual vehicle was no longer available.
Test day came, and Oliver performed solidly and passed his driving test for the first time with only one driver error. This is a testament to his hard work and dedication, proving that anything is possible with focus and a positive attitude.
We are incredibly proud of Oliver’s achievements, and his story can inspire others to pursue their goals despite the challenges that they may face. Oliver’s journey highlights the importance of determination, hard work, and a positive mindset in achieving success. Well done, Oliver!
