Joe Nolan from Davis Estate, Chatham

Joe began his driving lessons with City Way School of Motoring, having some previous experience driving a manual car, but didn’t want the added stress of changing gears, so opted to continue his driving lessons in an automatic car.

Like a lot of clients, Joe’s main weakness was his planning. Like a lot of new drivers, he would often not read the road ahead and pick up the clues about what was happening, so would often drive into situations that could be easily anticipated with improved planning.

We therefore concentrated our efforts on teaching Joe to look much further ahead and read the developing situation. Slowly but surely, his driving began to improve, and soon he was driving with maturity, making safer decisions and able to drive independently.

Test day seemed like it would never arrive, but as night follows day, it arrived. Joe produced a great drive and passed his driving test on his 1st attempt. It was a truly amazing result and is a testament to the work Joe put into his driving lessons.

It proves that anything is possible with the right mindset. A can-do attitude goes a long way in reaching your goals. Joe, I hope you enjoy your new independence.
