At City Way School of Motoring, we will, at an appropriate time, conduct several Mock Driving Tests. The aim is for you to pass them, and any areas highlighted during the mock test will be worked on during the forthcoming driving lessons.

Mock driving tests are useful tools because they allow us to withdraw our assistance as we start to assume the role of a driving examiner, giving you an idea of what the real test would be like. However, if you require any assistance, all you have to do is ask, and we will revert to giving any assistance required.

Mock Driving Tests

If we have to –

  • Verbally advise to keep everyone safe
  • Use the brake to slow down or stop the car
  • Use the steering wheel to avoid hitting anything

The mock test would be treated as a failed mock driving test; however, the driving test will lead to a better understanding of what could have been done and why it should have been done, taking into account the road conditions at the time.

I have both front and rear dashcam, that would record the mock test in full, these clips can be used to reinforce any potential problems that may have happened. with the dashcam footage, its now not my opinion, but a factual account of what happened.
