During your driving lessons with City Way School of Motoring, we will record your performance against a driving syllabus. This will, therefore, clearly show areas covered, your progress made within each topic, and areas that have not been introduced yet.
Topics will grow in difficulty as your skills start to grow.
Each topic from the syllabus is recorded on a 1 – 5 scale.
1 – Just introduced
2 – Full instruction given – You need to move into the right-hand lane and check your middle and right mirrors …..
3 – Prompted Instruction – What lane do you require ? …
4 – Seldom Prompted – Reduced levels of prompting are required.
5 – Independant – You can make informed decisions about what to do next, correctly and safely.
You can, of course, be in between – e.g. 2/3
We use the above system to get the learner driver to start thinking about how to improve any of their weaker areas by self-evaluating their performance and working on improving these areas over time.
