Driving Lessons Chatham. Congratulations to Oliver Mepstead, for passing his Practical Driving Test 1st time on Tuesday 2nd April 2019  at the Gillingham  Driving Test Centre with his Driving Instructor Gary Smith from City Way School of Motoring.  A fantastic Achievement – Well done 🙂

Oliver started his driving lessons with ourselves having had some driving experience in the past, but never got a far as taking a driving test.  We completed an assessment of his current driving standard and it was agreed that a 15 hrs intensive driving course was the best route to take.

Oliver progressed well during his Intensive driving course and began to understand what was required to pass his driving test. The main area we worked on was his forward planning skills, being able to read the ever-changing road and plan ahead. This is a common area of weakness in lots of new drivers. Once this area has been understood, they generally grow in confidence and continue their journey to be safe, competent drivers.

Test Day came along, and Oliver remembered the key areas from his driving lessons and held his nerves very well and drove as we knew he would which resulted in the 1st-time pass with Well done 🙂

What difference has this made to Oliver, he is hoping that this will lead to being able to drive for his employer. Great news 🙂
